Learning Programs to Fit your Family’s Needs

Mountain Peak Charter School offers parent's an innovative approach – in which to personalize their child’s education based on the student’s interest, aptitude and optimal learning environment. Based in Vista, Mountain Peak is a public charter school system in California. Mountain Peak programs cater to students in kindergarten through the 12th grade. Families can choose from home schooling or one of many different programs. Each program is customized to the needs of the learner, with parents, students, and teachers working together to create an environment where young minds can excel and be challenged each and every day.

Chula Vista Learning Academy

Grades: 6 - 8
Locations available: San Diego County--Chula Vista

At Mountain Peak Charter School’s Chula Vista Learning Academy students gain a solid foundation in core courses while concurrently studying the arts. Classes such as science, history, mathematics, and literature are combined with chorus, drama, media arts, and poetry. This rigorous curriculum for students in grades six, seven and eight combines in-school with at-home instruction.

Vista Learning Academy (Middle School and Dual Language)

Grades: K - 8
Locations Available: San Diego County--Vista

Mountain Peak Charter School Vista Learning Academy fosters multicultural and multilingual education by providing academic instruction that facilitates competence in speaking, reading, and writing in both English and Spanish. The instructional time is balanced evenly between English and Spanish.

San Jacinto Learning Academy

Grades: KN - 8
Locations available: Riverside County--San Jacinto

At Mountain Peak Charter School’s San Jacinto Learning Academy students gain a solid foundation in core courses through traditional educational strategies. This rigorous curriculum for students combines in-school with at-home instruction.

Home School

Grades: K-8
Locations Available: Orange County, Riverside County, San Diego County

Available for students in grades Kindergarten through 8, Mountain Peak Education Specialists work with parents to create an individualized learning program that the parent teaches at home. Parents are assisted every step of the way ensuring that each child is learning and advancing to their full potential. Families are connected to a large network of Mountain Peak Home School Families and gain valuable interaction through group events and field trips.

Virtual High School Academy

Grades: 9 - 12
Locations Available: Riverside County, Orange County, San Diego County

VHSA is a 9th to 12th grade program where instruction is a blend of live on-line classes, independent on-line work, and community college courses, all with strong support from credentialed staff.
